To help you prepare for your first visit with us, here are some answers to a few questions we often get.
Can I go into the room with my child?
Parents are more than welcome to come with their children to the dentist’s chair if they or their child wishes. We want to help make your appointment go as smoothly as possible, so if it will give you peace of mind, or if it will make your child more comfortable, we are happy to have you sit in on the dental procedure.
I am concerned about radiation. Are dental x-rays safe?
Dental x-rays are perfectly safe for both adults and children, especially considering that they are usually only taken once a year. Additionally, at our dental office in Sunrise, FL, we are proud to utilize the latest in digital technology, which reduces the amount of radiation even further.
Why should I choose a pediatric dentist?
Though they are trained in generally the same procedures, pediatric dentists receive more education than general dentists. They are particularly better-suited to treat young patients with special needs or certain behavioral conditions. Even if your child does not have special needs, you may want to choose a pediatric dentist because she is more familiar with the dental concerns of children and is better trained to address them.
When you visit us for your first appointment at LUV Pediatric Dentistry, be sure to bring your insurance information and arrive a little earlier than your appointment time so that you can complete some paperwork. If you have any questions prior to your visit with us, feel free to give us a call.
